Hi, I’m Esen.
As a highly experienced trauma counsellor in Melbourne, I work with people who have complex trauma and dissociative disorders.
My trauma counselling services include more than talking therapy. Our bodies (nervous systems) carry traumatic events; therefore, the trauma counselling needs to be somatic. Together we will engage and work with your nervous system, where many of your traumatic experiences have become ‘trapped’ in your body. Together we can reduce the impacts of trauma that might be getting in the way of your life and how you would like to feel.
I use a range of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and Havening to change the somatic and cognitive memories that are trapped in your body.
The approach I take is compassionate and never judgemental. I am committed to working with you, so you can begin to feel more connected to your body, your values and the person you want to be.
